Patellofemoral Resurfacing

Mr Donnachie has a specialist interest in patelofemoral resurfaceing surgery. He was trained in this field at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, Aintree University Hospital and Wrightington Hospital before undertaking Fellowship training at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, UK and with John Bartlett at the Austin and Repatriation Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Donnachie specialises in both unicompartmental knee replacement and patello-femoral resurfacing for patients who have localised wear to specific areas of the knee joint and undertakes this surgery using a minimally invasive incision. This, coupled with a rapid rehabilitation program aids a swift return to full independence post-operatively.
