Knee Ligament Reconstruction Using Patellar Tendon Graft

Mr Donnachie has a sub-specialist interest in ligament reconstruction after knee trauma. He was trained in this field at Wirral University Teaching Hospital and Aintree University Hospital before undertaking fellowship training with Neil Bergman at Austin & Repatriation Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Donnachie carries out a range of knee ligament reconstruction procedures including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using hamstring tendons or patella tendon graft. He also provides a revision ACL reconstruction service for patients who have a failed ACL graft.

Mr Donnachie specialises in a rapid rehabilitation program which facilitates a swift return to full independence following surgery.
